Changing lives; one bead at a time.

What Has Improved Under Kech Pe Tii

At Kech Pe Tii, we believe in progress that uplifts, empowers, and sustains. Since the launch of the initiative, remarkable strides have been made to strengthen the skills, confidence, and opportunities available to the women artisans we support. Below are some of the key areas where we’ve seen meaningful improvement:

1. Advanced Bead Design and Production Training

To equip the women with skills that meet international standards, we’ve introduced intensive training in bead design and production. These sessions promote creativity, refine craftsmanship, and encourage innovation—giving the women a competitive edge in both local and global markets. By learning from accomplished artisans and exploring new techniques, our women are creating beadwork that’s not only beautiful but also market-ready.

2. Financial Literacy and Business Management

Empowerment goes beyond artistry. Through our financial literacy and business training, the women learn essential skills like budgeting, saving, and business planning. With these tools, they can manage their income, make informed decisions, and build sustainable enterprises for long-term success.

3. Quality Control and Assurance

Maintaining high quality is central to our mission. We’ve implemented strict quality control practices and trained the artisans in quality assurance. This ensures every bead product meets our commitment to craftsmanship, durability, and beauty—boosting customer satisfaction and product reliability.

4. Environmental Sustainability Initiatives

Our beads are beautiful—and responsible. We train artisans to create beads from recycled paper and waste materials, reducing environmental impact while giving new life to discarded resources. It’s part of our strong commitment to sustainable, eco-conscious business practices.

5. Partnerships and Collaborations

To expand opportunities, we are building partnerships with fashion designers, safari and tourism businesses, and other creative industries. These collaborations help showcase the women’s work to wider audiences and unlock new sales channels and growth opportunities.

6. Community Building and Support Networks

Strong communities build strong futures. We’ve helped establish support networks where women can share, learn, and lean on each other. These bonds create a sense of belonging and collective resilience, helping the women navigate challenges and celebrate successes together.

7. Cultural Preservation and Education

Bead-making is more than a craft—it’s culture. We’re proud to preserve and celebrate this heritage through workshops and public events. By telling the stories behind each bead, we help customers connect with the tradition and history embedded in every product.

8. Marketing and Sales Training

To expand their reach and visibility, the women now benefit from marketing and sales workshops. They learn about branding, product photography, crafting compelling descriptions, and how to use social media to connect with customers. These skills help them tell their stories and sell their work more effectively—both locally and internationally.
